USDVA event: American Indians and Alaska Natives

Each year, VA proudly celebrates National Native American Heritage Month, which honors the nation-to-nation relationship between Tribal governments and the federal government. This observance commemorates the history, heritage and culture of American Indians and Alaska Natives and celebrates the vast achievements of America’s indigenous peoples.

The Pentagon Force Protection Agency, VA and other partners invite you to a live-streamed event on Nov. 8, from 1:00-3:30 p.m. ET, to celebrate the heritage and contributions of American Indians and Alaska Natives for their honorable and indispensable service in our country’s Armed Forces. American Indians and Alaska Natives serve in the military at higher rates than any other ethnic group.

Please join us as we observe the culture of the original inhabitants of the lands that now constitute the United States through guest speakers and Native performers.
